Paul Zimmer, Sr.
Owner
As the owner and founder of Detail Solar, Paul, Sr., grew up working on a farm, learning the value of hard work and integrity from an early age. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from BJU and brought that technical foundation into the solar industry. His dedication to excellence led him to become only the second person in South Carolina to achieve NABCEP certification — one of the most respected credentials in the solar industry. When he's not at work or on missions, Paul, Sr., enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Sherry.
Paul Zimmer, Jr.
Office Manager
Paul Zimmer, Jr., joined his father at Detail Solar in 2019 and quickly became an integral part of the operation. Before coming on board, Paul, Jr., picked up many helpful skills in his time helping out at a camp, such as construction, bookkeeping, and customer service — all of which translate directly to running a tight, customer-focused office. Outside of work, he enjoys his marriage with Marikka.
Austin Shannon
VP of Operations
After spending some time in sales roles across various industries, Austin Shannon found solar — and never looked back. Since joining Detail Solar, Austin has proactively tried to learn as much about the industry as he can, from the technical side of installations to the nuances of utility interconnections and customer education. As VP of Operations, he ensures every project runs smoothly from start to finish. Married to his wife, Austin has two dogs and three chickens back at home.
