Detail Solar LLC ("Detail Solar," "we," "us") operates this website. This page covers what we collect through it and how we use it. It doesn't cover the separate written contracts customers sign for actual installation or service work; those are their own documents.

What We Collect

Only what you
give us directly.

We don't use ad trackers, and this site doesn't run analytics that profile you across other websites. The information we collect comes from you, directly, through:

• Our contact and quote forms: name, phone number, email address, and whatever you tell us about your project or service need.
• Our chat widget: the messages you send it, plus any short answers you tap while we ask clarifying questions. Replies are generated with the help of AI, and transcripts are stored so a real person can follow up.
• Optional utility-bill upload in chat: a photo or PDF of your electric bill, only if you choose to upload one. Bills can include your name, service address, account number, and usage. We store that file privately (not on a public web link) so our team can prepare a more accurate quote. You can always tap a dollar-range answer instead of uploading.

We don't ask for utility website passwords, bank logins, or Social Security numbers through this site. If something feels like too much to share online, call or email us and we'll help another way.

How It's Stored

Kept in our own
systems, nowhere else.

Form submissions and chat transcripts are stored in a database we operate on Cloudflare (the same company that hosts this website). Optional bill uploads are stored in private Cloudflare R2 file storage - not a public gallery, and not linked from the website. We don't hand this information to data brokers, ad networks, or marketing platforms. It exists so our team can follow up with you about a quote, an install, or a service issue, nothing more.

What We Don't Do

We don't sell
your information.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your contact information to anyone: not to other contractors, not to call centers, not to marketing lists. We may use your information to follow up with you about a quote or an existing service request, and that's the extent of it. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will.

Being Straight With You

We're a small
local company.

We're not going to claim a formal GDPR or CCPA compliance program we don't have; we're a small Upstate South Carolina solar installer, not a global data company. This page is meant to honestly describe what we actually collect and why, not to read like boilerplate no one wrote for us specifically. If you have questions about your information or want it deleted, just call or email us and we'll take care of it.
