Detail Solar LLC ("Detail Solar," "we," "us") operates this website. This page covers what we collect through it and how we use it. It doesn't cover the separate written contracts customers sign for actual installation or service work; those are their own documents.

What We Collect

Only what you
give us directly.

We don't use ad trackers, and this site doesn't run analytics that profile you across other websites. The information we collect comes from you, directly, through:

• Quote, contact, careers, and savings forms: your name, email, phone, and whatever you tell us about the project or the role. Service and contact forms also ask for the property address.
• Our chat widget: the messages you send it, plus any short answers you tap. If you want a person to follow up, we ask for name, mobile, and email in the chat. Those details are handled like a form lead. Replies are generated with the help of AI, and transcripts are stored so a real person can follow up.
• Optional utility-bill upload in chat: a photo or PDF of your electric bill, only if you choose to upload one. Bills can include your name, service address, account number, and usage. We store that file privately (not on a public web link) so our team can prepare a more accurate quote. You can always tap a dollar-range answer instead of uploading.

We don't ask for utility website passwords, bank logins, or Social Security numbers through this site. If something feels like too much to share online, call or email us and we'll help another way.

How It's Checked

Automatic checks,
not a code we text you.

Before we accept a form or a chat follow-up, our server checks that the email and phone look real: the email is spelled like an address, the domain can receive mail, it is not a throwaway inbox, and the phone is a valid US number. We do not text you a code or email you a one-time password to get past the form.

Cloudflare runs the website and also helps with those checks. Turnstile is their bot check; it usually stays invisible and only shows a challenge when something looks automated. We also ask Cloudflare's public DNS service whether the email domain can receive mail. If that lookup or Turnstile is briefly down, we still take the request and flag it for a person to review, so a real customer is not turned away.

A clearly bad address or a fake-looking number is declined on the form, with a short note under the field. You can fix it and send again, or call us.

Who Else Touches It

Our tools,
not a data sale.

Form submissions and chat transcripts are stored in a database we operate on Cloudflare, the company that hosts this website. Optional bill uploads are stored in private Cloudflare R2 file storage, not a public gallery and not linked from the website.

Leads are also sent to ArrayBud, the system our team uses to review every request and follow up. Office notification email goes out through Resend so someone here actually sees it. We don't hand this information to data brokers, ad networks, or marketing platforms. A person still reviews every lead. Passing the checks is not a contract.

What We Don't Do

We don't sell
your information.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your contact information to anyone: not to other contractors, not to call centers, not to marketing lists. We may use your information to follow up with you about a quote or an existing service request, and that's the extent of it. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will.

Being Straight With You

We're a small
local company.

We're not going to claim a formal GDPR or CCPA compliance program we don't have; we're a small Upstate South Carolina solar installer, not a global data company. This page is meant to honestly describe what we actually collect and why, not to read like boilerplate no one wrote for us specifically. If you have questions about your information or want it deleted, just call or email us and we'll take care of it.
